Re:
Tile Outlet
Case Number; 123-45-678-0
Dear Mr. Jones:
Thank you for this assignment
wherein you have requested Private Eye Verify to perform the
asset liability investigation on the above referenced
debtor.
This assignment was scheduled
for 03/23-25/2009 and was completed on 03/23/09. The
following illustrates the debtor’s assets inasmuch as they
are open for business and actively selling products from
their location. Below and/or attached are the photographs
illustrating their business activity on the date of our
inspection and visit.
The name of the business owner
is Ralph Sines. He was on location when we arrived
unannounced. We observed and photographed the company
equipment and any vehicles within the area of the business.
The inside of the show room appears to be well stocked with
various tile products. There were 8 customers within this
facility at that time. The business license was observed
hanging, framed behind the cash register and showed to be
valid for the current year. No mail was observed on the
counter. The size of the company is medium for the area and
showed signs of moderate activity.
The square footage of the
facility is 4000 sq. ft.
The demand letter was hand
delivered to the owner who was visibly shaken by our
presence. It is noteworthy that we were courteous and
professional. We spoke in a private room so as to not
interrupt the sales with his customers. At that time he was
encouraged to speak with your office and did so in our
presence.
We then interviewed the
neighboring store owner, Mr. John Frank who stated the tile
store is often busy as they have ongoing sales each week. He
stated the tile owner is a nice and professional person.
He added that the building is
currently owned by AAA Property Management located in
Clearwater Florida. We contacted this manager by cell phone
and spoke with a Sherry Maurer who stated the debtor was
current with his rent but had fallen behind on two occasions
this year.
We then spoke to one of the
employees who was operating the fork lift as captured in the
photographs below. This employee stated they have had some
slow days but business seemed to be good. This employee
asked why we were asking about the store and we simply
stated we were conducting an asset investigation.
General Notes:
The location appeared to be busy
and fairly well kept. The owner was very surprised but
stated he would “make this debt good”. The owner offered
$1000.00 to the investigator but rather than accept this
payment as it was not our assignment, we opted to reassure
that he needed to call your office in our presence, which he
did.
This will conclude this
investigation. We again thank you for this assignment and
business opportunity with you.
Sincerely,
Investigator
